Dan
Jordan, DVM
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Jordan holds a DVM from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced in the Houston area for over 27 years. In 1995, in order to reach a larger, more diverse client base, he moved his practice to central Houston and opened the Animal Avian Hospital of the Village. In addition to providing top-notch care for dogs and cats, he has a passion for exotic animal medicine and wildlife rehabilitation that began at a young age. He first recognized the need for expert medical care for exotic animals when his mother could not find a veterinarian for her sick Amazon parrot. Dr. Jordan discovered his niche by combining common small animal medicine with the emerging field of exotic animal care. Both clients and staff agree that Dr. Jordan is a gifted doctor, as his dedication and devotion to all animals is illustrated by the consistently exceptional quality care they receive. Fundamental time tested basics, woven together with the most current, state of the art technology is the driving force behind Dr. Jordan’s practice. Dr. Jordan’s profound understanding of veterinary medicine, his commitment to excellence in the care of his patients, and the personal relationships he and his staff strive to develop with clients of Animal Avian Hospital of the Village provide the foundation for the continued success of his practice.
Shared Moment: The nurturing aspects of Dr. Jordan’s personality are not only evident in his practice, but are also forefront in his family life. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Machel, and their two sons, Dayne and Sean. The Jordan family pets include a Western hognose snake, several dogs, and horses, and of course, the AAHV mascot, their cockatoo, Meekabird.
